...All Things Lately...

SO MUCH!
Life is like a whirl wind around here!
...I can't believe it's almost Christmas time...

We just got back from New York and here are some
pictures from that trip. So much happened,
I can't even explain.. But it was amazing!
We ate Thanksgiving dinner here:

When we first got here we of course headed to...
Times SquareI saw a concert here!
It was a guy/band named "Bright Eyes".
It was pretty good.
This is what it looks like inside! GORGEOUS! Notice the disco ball.. it illuminated for awhile at the end of the concert and it was gorgeous.
..The City at night..
..The City during the day..Brooklyn Bridge
Hard Rock Cafe. The first place we ate, and an awesome wall of guitars behind me!
Central Park, and the West Side.
The most beautifully neglected area of the park.
I think this place right here was my favorite part of New York.
It was soo stunning that pictures can't even begin to show it's beauty.

One of my favorite pictures ever taken. It's through a window, with me and my friend Josh. I just LOVE it!
The Men. Jordan, Josh, Ryan, Scott, Danger (Red Beanie).

We had to take these "personality shots" for CMC. We got to come up with our concepts and locations. This location is by the pond, in a secret little hidden area that is my absolute favorite! It's my get-a-way... And by far my favorite place on campus. I borrowed a white dress from my friend Rachel, and a black umbrella. I was going for the outdoor look I love, and a hint of class. Think "Audrey Hepburn" meets Brianne Dosier.
This one is my favorite.

This was my last CMC Live..
I had an awesome accapella beginning song.
It's a song from "O Brother Where Art Thou"
with some awesome ladies...Mallory, and Ashley.

Here's one last hurrah. This is me, Josh, and Chris.
From a previous CMC Live.

I have my first off campus show coming up at a pub and grill called "Offshore Ale".
I'm really excited about it.
I have to do about 6 to 7 songs.
I'll let you all know how it goes.
I will have so much to tell you all when I come home.
Oh my goodness, how much I am learning and growing here.
I feel like a different person, but the same one all at the same time.

I love you all!

Boston!

Here are some highlight pictures from our Boston trip last weekend.

We had many adventures.. We walked for 6 hours looking for a house that no one wrote down the address to, (basically we were lost for 6 hours). This was on Friday, several of us went early to Boston to see a concert and a band called "Anathallo" (they are AWESOME!). It was just me and several men. I got left to fend for myself quite often, it's hard being the only girl. I've never had my legs hurt so bad.
All in all however it was a great experience.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the entire trip.
This sums up several emotions we were feeling by the end of the night. haha

From left to right is Chris, Greg, Josh, and Michael - he was in charge of the address.
A picture from one of our many walks throughout the weekend.

Funny story..

We were trying to find the house we were staying at for the night to drop off our stuff. Turns out there are two same exact addresses but in two different towns.
So our first stop (wrong house), was this house. Basically all of our faces drop and I think we all said at the same time, "oh..." you can fill in the blank what some people said after that. HAHA. Luckily, this was not the house. But we lovingly refer to it as "#2". (That was it's address).

This was the band we saw, "Anathallo".The "real" house. Was absolutely adorable!
I wish I could live in a house like this, I LOVED it.
And the boys..

This is what I had to deal with all night/day. haha! I love these guys.
I read them a bedtime story, it was so fun. (we had no tv).

Pretty building around Harvard University.
The "T". (Subway in Boston).

This is me and Rachel..my roommate and awesome friend!
(She's from Greenville, I hope to go visit her next semester.)

Almost the whole gang, that we met up with for the weekend.
This is at Harvard, in the middle of the campus.
So pretty!

We went to Fenway to watch the game..the Red Sox.
No one had tickets we just hung out outside of the stadium.
Salem! The place people always think I'm from. Ridiculous.

The Boston city scape we saw on the last day, and a sail boat competition.

Well, that's it for now.

I love you!

CMC Live 3

I'm working on uploading the video...but here are pictures of my performance until then!

I love this picture. This is Greg, Andy, Scott, me, Danger..
and the back row is John, Jay, and Cole.

This was sound check. My face is so forlorn!
But not in this one!
This is the performance one..
This is the performance of "Lack Luster"
or as my -professor- thought it was
"My Cloister Walk"
Long story.

Here is sound check again. I'm playing with Scott and Andy..
Scott is in the hat. Andy's head is alight, playing the accordian!
I love this shot.

Same song.. Performance set.
Jeremy took all the pictures above.
Exciting news is I get to be the photographer for this weeks CMC Live!

This is it for now. I'm still working on the video for you guys!

My first performance is done though!

Two more to go.. and MANY new songs.. I'm pumped!

Quick Update...

Ok Random quick update...

Today was our "dress rehearsal" for Thursday's show and pretty much I got chewed up by a voice teacher (who was just visiting), and Warren (one of the main music men here), said I sounded like Stevie Nicks. All around I think it sucked. But other people were telling me that I did fine. Problem is I don't think I did...

I'm really struggling right now with wondering why I'm here. I feel like one of the worst musicians, and nobody seems thoroughly impressed by me. (Not that that is what it's about, but it's disheartening). I don't regret coming here, and I don't think that I shouldn't be here. I'm just going through the "what is my purpose in life" phase.

I miss you all (family, friends).

LOVE YOU
